How is Strait different from a local recruiter or staff-aug shop?
Local recruiters charge 22% on a €120k Amsterdam base — we charge 22% on a €60k Egypt base, so the absolute fee is roughly half. Unlike staff-aug, you get a single dedicated engineer on an EOR contract, not a body-shop rotation. The engineer is your team — we handle the legal and HR layer.
What seniority can you actually deliver?
Mid through Principal, with the strongest pool in Senior and Staff. We don't place juniors. Our typical engineer has 6–12 years of experience, has shipped at scale, and has worked with European or US teams before.
Do they speak English well enough for daily stand-ups?
Yes. English is the language of instruction at every top Egyptian engineering school. We test for C1+ written and spoken in our vetting. You see a recorded loom from each shortlisted candidate before any intro call.
What does the contract actually look like?
We sign an MSA with you. The engineer is employed by our Egyptian EOR entity, dedicated full-time to your team. One monthly invoice — gross + employer burden + Strait management fee. No equipment shipping, no payroll setup, no local lawyer.
What if the hire doesn't work out?
90-day no-questions replacement, included. If at any point in the first 90 days you decide it's not a fit, we replace at no additional fee. After 90 days, replacement is at cost.
How long until someone is actually working?
Most hires kick off within 30 days of signing. Our pre-vetted pool means we typically already have the right person evaluated; we're mostly matching, not sourcing from scratch.
